Regions of Interest (ROIs) restrict the output of the camera to a given region of pixels containing your imaging subject, reducing data output and typically increasing the camera’s maximum frame rate.

Many cameras offer the ability to freely choose and locate regions of interest according to their X and Y size, and some cameras support ROIs only with set sizes.
