How to use the camera cooling module?

 

Air cooling and water cooling are two commonly used cooling methods, users can choose the appropriate cooling method according to the actual use environment.

1. Air cooling mode

 

The sdk cooling temperature interface of the camera can be set to a range of-50℃ ~50℃ (Mosaic3.0 software to-50℃ -10℃).

Each camera and different cooling methods have different temperature difference in cooling limit. For example, when the limit cooling temperature difference of a certain camera is 35℃, when the target cooling temperature is set at-10℃ and the camera is in the ambient temperature of 30℃, the camera can only cool to about-5℃ at the lowest.

The camera fan supports high, medium, low, and off four gear variable speed control. The higher the fan speed, the better the heat dissipation performance. the lower the speed, the lower the transmission vibration is. When water cooling is required, switch the fan gear to Off and connect the water cooler.

 

2. Water cooling mode

Procedure for water-cooled tube installation

1) Place the camera on a smooth workbench.

2) Connect the water-cooled pipe to the water pipe connector above the camera, and there is no difference between the inlet and exit of the two water-cooled pipes. Please ensure proper insertion, as shown in the figure below.

 

3) Plug the water pipe into the water nozzle of the cooling water circulator and lock it with a clamp.

4) The cooling water circulator water pipe is connected to the camera water pipe through the transfer valve.

5) After the water-cooling pipe is installed, you need to switch the cooling mode on the software. The default cooling method of the camera is air cooling, you can switch to water cooling by adjusting the fan gear position.

6) If you choose to turn off the fan, the software will have the following prompt, click "Yes" to turn off the fan. Please ensure that the water is cold.

 

Water-cooled tube disconnection procedure

1) Disconnect the power of the camera and all other equipment, including the circulating water cooler.

2) According to the instructions of the cooling water circulation machine, pull off the water pipe above the cooling water circulation machine, and discharge the water in the circulation machine.

3) Press the sliding sleeve of the transfer valve, pull out the water pipe of the cooling water circulation machine, and discharge the internal water.

4) Press the water joint and remove the camera water pipe from the water pipe joint. First, turn the side of the installed water valve to the side (not the top), pull out the water valve mouth down, use a water towel or paper towel to ensure that there is no water leakage into the camera.

 

Note:

1) Selection of cooling water: recommended to use deionized water.

2) The water temperature is generally recommended to be 20℃. According to the experimental data, it will cause condensation of water valves and water pipes under improper environmental conditions, which is a hidden danger of damage to the equipment. To ensure the normal operation of the equipment, it is recommended that the water temperature is not lower than the condensation point. Please refer to the condensation table:

 

3) Pressure: the maximum water pressure into the camera shall not exceed 2 bar.

4) Water flow rate: recommended for 1 L/min.

5) Cooling water circulation machine: use the circulation machine and make cooling water correctly according to the use instructions of the cooling water circulation machine.

6) Install the water-cooled pipeline correctly to ensure that there is no water seepage at the interface between the camera end and the cooling water circulation machine.

7) During the operation of the camera, do not close the cooling water circulation or stop cooling, otherwise it may lead to the sensor continuous high temperature damage.

8) During the operation of the camera, the water cooling and the fan can be turned on at the same time, but it cannot be turned off at the same time. At least one cooling mode is required to operate normally, otherwise the sensor may lead to continuous high temperature and damage.
