How to use the automatic count function?

 

Automatic counting function, the cell image for binary processing, through the software algorithm for automatic counting, get the number of cells, the user can select the target cells according to the set long axis, short axis, area, and other ways.

For the automatic counting operation, please refer to the following tutorial video.

 

operating steps:

1) Open the software, import to a cell image, and switch to the [automatic count] module.

 

2) Click [Start count] to turn on the function.

3) On the right side of the preview screen to select the automatic counting area, the user can select all, rectangles, and polygons according to the requirements, click the next step to get the binary image.

 

4) According to the original image on the left side, segment the binary image on the right side. If [automatic dark] and [automatic light] cannot meet the requirements, you can switch to the manual mode to adjust the color scale.

5) After adjusting the color scale, the error signal on the background can be removed through morphological operation.

6) Select whether to fill the hole, and the effect is shown in the figure below:

 

7) Select the display mode as follows: outline or area.

l Conile: use contour lines to represent segmented cells.

l Area: Fill-in used to represent the segmented cells.

8) According to the original image on the left, the binary cell image on the right side is cut, then select to first automatic cut or manual cut.

 

9) According to the cell that needs to calculate the boundary, check [contain the boundary], and click next.

10) Select the target data to be counted, and set the threshold, click [OK] to complete the automatic counting, and get the automatic counting result as shown in the figure below:

 

11) In the data bar below the preview window, you can see the automatic count statistical results, as shown in the following figure, and the user can choose whether to export the data according to the requirements.

 

 

 

 

Note:

1) Automatic counting function, can only count the number of cells, cannot be cell classification.

2) As far as possible to choose the background and cell signal difference of the image, if the difference is small, automatic counting cannot be realized.
