Product Release

In November 2017 Tucsen launched the world's first 6.5-micron back-illuminated sCMOS scientific camera, the Dhyana 400BSI, which received wide attention from the high-end research market and generated a paradigm shift in the  world's high sensitivity imaging technology. In their quest for more advanced sCMOS back-illuminated imaging solutions, Tucsens R & D team never stop striving for technical excellence.

On September 2, 2018, the Dhyana 400BSI V2.0 , was released following the completion of the: speed upgrade; volume reduction and significant noise algorithm development.

The Dhyana 400BSI V2 is not only much smaller, but achieves the optimal transmission speed of the back-illuminated sCMOS chip , through a Camera Link interface, plus, the hardware has been upgraded and improved, achieving 4.2 MP transfer rate of 74fps with CameraLink, and the highest data transfer rate of the interface of 40fps with USB3.0.

The appearance and interface changes are just the appetizers of Dhyana 400BSI V2.0 the spatial noise algorithm upgrade is the key to this update. The Dhyana 400BSI V2.0 has calibrated and optimized DSNU (dark signal non uniformity) and PRNU (photo response non uniformity). The optimized DSNU value results in a decrease from 0.3e- to 0.2e-, and the PRNU value is decreased from 1.6%. to 0.3%, the camera has a more sophisticated quantitative capability and is more suitable for quantitative analysis applications.

In the field of scientific imaging, sensitivity and image quality can be simply understood as a combination of quantum efficiency and noise. The Dhyana quantum efficiency advantages 400BSI V2.0 are not only in the visible region but sensitivity has been dramatically enhanced in the ultraviolet and near-infrared level which represents an enormous breakthrough.

Third-party applications supported by Dhyana 400BSI V2.0 have also been greatly expanded, including Micromanager, Labview, Matlab, etc., to provide more application support and help.

Quantitative analysis is more accurate, data capture is faster, and Tucsen with the Dhyana 400 BSI V2.0 once again gives you, our customers, what you have been asking for. Thank you for your support
